Privacy Policy

Jeevanii is a free Vedic astrology portal at jeevanii.in. This policy explains what happens to the information you enter. The short version: we do not have user accounts, we do not sell data, and your birth details are not stored in a database of ours.
What you give us
To generate a reading, the portal asks for your name, date of birth, time of birth and place of birth. These are needed for the calculation itself: without an accurate time and place there is no ascendant, no house structure and no dasha sequence.
Your birth details are sent to our server, used to compute the reading, and returned to your browser. We do not create an account for you and we do not retain those details in a user database.
What is stored on your device
For convenience, the portal saves recently used birth profiles in your browser's local storage so you do not have to retype them. This stays on your device, is not transmitted to us as a profile, and you can remove it at any time by clearing your browser's site data for jeevanii.in.
Analytics
We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand how many people visit and which pages they read. It is designed to be privacy-friendly: it does not use cookies and does not build a profile of you across sites. We see aggregate figures such as page views, referring sites, country and device type. We do not see who you are.
Third parties that process data
- Vercel, our hosting provider, which serves the site and processes standard server request data including IP address for security and delivery purposes.
- Vercel Web Analytics, for the aggregate, cookieless statistics described above.
- An AI language model provider, used only for the conversational guidance feature. When you send a message in that feature, the message text and relevant chart context are transmitted for processing so a reply can be generated.
- Google Search Console, which reports aggregate search performance for the site. It does not receive your birth details.
- YouTube, when you follow a link to one of our raga recordings. That visit is governed by Google's privacy policy, not ours.
The astrological calculation itself, including charts, Shadbala, yogas, doshas and dasha periods, runs on our own code. It is not outsourced to a third party.
The AI guidance feature
Please do not enter sensitive personal information, such as health, financial or identifying details about other people, into the conversational feature. Treat it as you would any online chat: useful, but not a confidential channel.
PDF reports
The downloadable report is generated in your own browser and saved directly to your device. The file is not uploaded to us or stored anywhere on our side.
Children
Jeevanii is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If a parent or guardian believes a child has submitted information, write to us and we will address it.
Your choices
- You can use the site without creating an account, because there are no accounts.
- You can clear locally saved profiles by clearing site data in your browser.
- You can block analytics with any standard content blocker; the portal works normally without it.
- You can write to us with any question about data handling.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the date at the top will change with it. Continued use of the site after an update means the revised policy applies.
